The Sonia Sanoja – Alfredo Silva Estrada Foundation is a non-profit organization registered in New York (2019) with the aim of generating research fields that propose a new perspective on the work of Sonia Sanoja and Alfredo Silva Estrada.
Our institution’s objectives are the preservation, promotion, dissemination and study of the work of these two Venezuelan artists, whose legacy is the product of a life shared between poetry and dance, whose influence transcended borders and gave rise to collaborations with important artists.
In line with our educational and cultural nature, the foundation will carry out publications, exhibitions, workshops and events related to its objectives in order to stimulate the wider audience’s interest in poetry and dance.
The foundation has been formed by the family responsible for this legacy and shaped thanks to the trust and unconditional support of friends who have contributed with their time, advice, work or financial support aiming at safeguarding and fostering this important cultural heritage.
